I enjoyed the book because I have a teenage son and when I was reading the book I was so impressed with how Stephen connected the words in his book with life today. He was so up to date with what the teenagers deal with everyday and he made the book interesting to read. My son, who read the book, could not put it down because he knew that world. Some books that adults write for kids go back to our time and the kids cannot connect with it and they get bored with the book. But how can you get bored with Stephen's book when everything he wrote in the book are about things kids are doing and are involved in today. Stephen was connected to their world. My best part of the book were the Bible verses that help you understand what he was saying in Biblical terms. My son enjoyed reading the book and looking up the verses as well. "War With The World: The Teenage Battlefield is a life changing book! It definitely changed my life miraculously. I think it will change and improve many teenagers outlook on their lives. And it will help them create a real relationship/friendship with Jesus Christ. Pastor Steve words everything in a way that shows he truly understands what it's like to be a teenager in today's world, and the many obstacles we have to face and overcome. He uses real life situations that help you understand. After reading this book, I felt like I could overcome and take on anything that came my way. This book showed me how important Jesus is and how important it is to always keep him in your heart. My relationship with Jesus is incredible now, because of Pastor Steve's book. It touched my heart. I literally could not put the book down! I hope it does the same for everyone else who reads it. Honestly, this was the best book I have ever read!! It had a huge impact on my life. I strongly recommend it for anyone that is new to and or curious about the Christian faith and what Jesus Christ wants for their lives. The book takes many real life challenges we teenagers face today and connects them to the Bible and presents solutions to each of them: God. Some things included in the book are drug use, premarital sex, and many more. I, again, strongly recommend this for anyone with even a spark of wanting to know Jesus. It's a life saver! PS. "Throughout my life and my path and my walk in Christianity/God, I have took some time to read spiritual books by many different authors. As I read some of these books, I started but never finished. I couldn't finish because these books didn't grasp my full attention. When I started reading Pastor Stephen Mitchell's book, War With The World: The Teenage Battlefield, I started to realize that this book does and will grasp your full attention. It gives you realistic examples of what goes on in, just about every teenager's life. It has related to my own life in areas where I have gone through that and made it through. For all other teenagers, I would recommend this book not only for a spiritual walk with God, but to relate to your life with the choices that others have gone through having to make. You will learn many things in your life and will be faced with a lot of obstacles. The only way to get through it safely and happily is with God by your side.
